EDVENTURES: COOK & BREW

Happy Saturday everyone, finally back with another edventure post! Ahh, I miss doing this. Anyway over a week ago, Pei and I went to Cook and Brew for lunch - located on the 33rd floor of The Westin Singapore, you can expect an unobstructed view of the harbour. If you wish to dine in the sky with a stunning city view I recommend Swissotel The Stamford, or MBS if you're feeling extra fancy.

We were greeted by very friendly hotel and restaurant staff (more on that later) and a large dining area, because no one wants their conversation to be heard by the couple beside you right? Initially, they had us seated in a rather dark spot, however, when we requested to sit by the window they made a switch (good service x1).

When we finally settled down, I couldn't decide which to order - the Sushi bowl or the Cook and Brew Fried Chicken. In the end, I went with The Burger (typical!). Realising that we were taking a little too long to decide on drinks, one of the staff came up and recommended us their mocktails (good service x2).

While waiting for our food to arrive, we headed outside to take some photos. It was a pity that we didn't get to sit outside due to the rain. Knowing that our food was about to be served, another staff politely came to inform us (good service x3) and of course, we didn't immediately return to our table. You would think that their service would stop there, but NO. The staff waited for us to be done with our last few shots and held the door open for us (good service x4). Throughout our meal, their staff came once or twice to check on us and our food, without disrupting our conversation.

I feel like the service provided by waiters shouldn't just end the moment we get our food. It's coming up and asking about us and our meal, which makes me feel slightly more important. Like my opinion would actually mean something, although we didn't gave much feedback haha!

After our meal, we lingered around the 33rd and 32rd floor #chasinglight, well sort of! The rain clouds had finally cleared and the Sun was streaming in through the tinted windows of the waiting area. Since the weather was perfect, we strolled around the vicinity and found some really nice background for outfit shots, which you can see on our instagram - @ardaisy_ / @skeletales. ○
