Monthly Favourites: May

Can't believe half a year is almost over! I bought a couple of things this month (oops), read a new book and re-discovered some old makeup. I genuinely love all the products mentioned below, hence I'm doing this post! Hope you guys will find something you love in this post, if you did, please hit up 'like' at the end/share with me in the comments your new finds this month!

As I'll be travelling in June, I decided to get this roll-on perfume because it's convenient and it will fit in my carry-on makeup bag. Hopefully, this will keep me smelling fresh on the plane as I will probably not be taking a shower for at least 24 hours. I've never heard of this brand before, but I just couldn't resist the scent. You guys know that when I travel, I always get a new fragrance because I would like to be reminded of my vacation the next time I use this perfume again - who wouldn't, right?

Speaking about smelling fresh, I also recently bought Fresh's Lip Balm. This has been a product that I've seen a lot of others using, but I never got around to get it. However, recently I felt that my EOS lip balm is no longer effective to moisturise my chapped lips so I decided to get it (plus Sephora had a 20% sale). Since it's a tinted lip balm, on lazy days I can go without applying any lipstick.

My next favourite is a re-discovery. They are the Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in the shade Parisian Passion and New York Scene (how apt). Initially, I didn't quite liked how they smelled and how it felt on my lips but I've grown to like it and Parisian Passion has become my staple colour this month. Perhaps the scent faded away since the last time I used them. Pros: smooth and even coverage, long-lasting — survived a complete meal and needed minimal touchups.

Happy to be back to the juice life! Changing my diet and living a healthier life was my goal this month, to get my body back to shape before all the binge-eating happened. Juices are usually what I have in the afternoon, in the morning I drink water that has been infused with mint leaves, lemon slice and chia seeds. I typically prepare the night before, and have it together with my breakfast.

And the last favourite this month is a book! Currently I'm reading The Road Less Travelled by M. Scott Peck. I haven't read a book since the start of this year, because I have the attention span of a kid. This book was recommended to me by a friend, I'm only 3 chapters in but I am really enjoying it so far. I'm bad at explaining scents and books, evidently, so I will not try to explain this book to you but it is along the lines of self-enrichment. If you're into those kinds of books, I highly recommend it! You can get it via Book Depository, here, they ship worldwide!

P.S: Decided to throw in this last song favourite - Hideaway by Daya
P.P.S: I'm finally done with university, for now. Passed all my final papers, looking forward to my graduation when I'm back home in August.
