September Faves

Hey everyone! I'm back to share some of my favourites from the month of September! The last 2 weeks have been a crazy episode in my life, hence the lack of updates on Instagram and the delay of this post. This post is going to short because there weren't much favourites this month and I'm not even sure how it's October already. But it's finally time to bust out the vampy lip shades – I waited all year for this season!

Who doesn't love scented candles!? There's something sleek that I love about white candles in a beautiful glass jar. I always have the Lavender, Eucalyptus & Sage candle from Artisan of Sense lit an hour before bed, so my room smells of a calming and soothing lavender/eucalyptus scent. Have you ever burned a candle and somehow end up in a candle tunneling situation? I absolutely hate that because so much wax gets wasted! Thankfully, these do burn down evenly and nicely, which I appreciate. They are priced affordably, so you can consider getting it for yourself or they would make perfect gifts! P/s: I will be sharing more lavender scented things this weekend!!

Lippie Primer – Colourpop

It's not me if I don't have a favourite from Colourpop. I personally don't think this lippie primer is necessary when it comes to Colourpop products, as they are quite long-wearing. But I would recommend using this with lipsticks from other brands or those that fade away quickly, as I noticed that it definitely helped increase the longevity. Apart from longevity, I don't think it is that moisturising but it does help with filling in the fine lines on my lips. My verdict: I love it, but it's a good-to-have, not a must-have!

Roses De Chloé – Chloé

I have never been a perfume collector until recently, when I stepped out of my comfort zone of Chanel perfumes and explored the big big world. Apart from Jo Malone's English Pear & Freesia cologne which has been my favourite since January, I have been using this scent almost everyday for September. I would describe this as a feminine scent that's fresh and not overly rosy (which puts me off). I really love how subtle the scent is, yet lasts all throughout the day. That moment when you find a scent that works with your body's chemistry! 😍

I may repurchase this in a small bottle so I can take it around with me. I suggest going to the counter and request for a sample and try wearing it to see if it's your type and most importantly, if it matches your body's chemistry. If you're wondering why some scents smell good on others but not you, or change throughout the day, that's why.

Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush – Tarte Cosmetics

As Sephora's beauty insider (you have to become a member, that's all), every year during your birthday month you get to pick whatever birthday gift choices they have available. I love getting makeup freebies, especially mini ones because they are perfect for travelling. This year, they had a Tarte set and of course I had to get that! In the set you receive, a Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour blush and a Tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paint (which was TOO DRYING for me).
The shade, Paaarty, is richly pigmented and didn't need any touch up over the course of the day. The peachy pink shade makes it a perfect everyday blush, giving you that beautiful natural flush - if you apply moderately. It retails for SGD47 for the regular size of 5.6 g / 0.20 oz; the freebie is 1.5g / 0.05 oz.

Ebb Earrings – The Ordinary Co.

I guess you could say I have a addictive personality/behaviour, because when I like something I get a lot of them at a go. For instance, I went from owning nothing in gingham print to now having 3-4 clothing pieces. I'm very minimal most of the time when it comes to jewellery, but when I started wearing large hoop earrings that's when everything spiralled out of control.
After I saw these earrings at The Ordinary Co's birthday party, I knew I had to get my hands on them! They may be huge, but because of the minimalistic design it's not excessive. I wear them at any given chance, and when paired with an all black outfit it completes the look.

Gratitude Reminder Cuff – The Mindful Company

The last few months were difficult for me as I was dealing with issues related to my own personal growth, and there were (still are) many days when I get so caught up and forget to be grateful. There are times when you'll be put in a negative situation, or have to deal with people that ruin your day and put your down, but that's normal. Many people think that you need to have a positive mindset every day, or to be grateful for every single thing every day. It can get tiresome and false positivity sucks, period. When I first stumbled across this company I thought "hey, I really do like their initiative". As much as I always try to use my voice to spread gratitude, I also needed a constant reminder that I have so many things to be grateful for.

And there we have it, a few things I've been using and loving this month! What would October bring?
