FAQ

When and why did you start blogging?
Throwback to 2011 when I was looking for a space to share my photos and document those moments. Fast forward to the present, I started to create content more regularly.

What camera do you use?
I use a Canon EOS 60D (unless otherwise stated) to shoot my videos and photos on my blog. I have two Canon lenses, 50mm f/1.8 II and 18-135mm. I also recently added the Fujifilm XT-30 to my collection, and have been using it with the standard kit lens.

How do you edit your photos on your blog?
I edit my photos with Adobe Photoshop CS6.

How do you use to take the photos on your Instagram?
I usually use my iPhone 8 plus to take the photos on my Instagram.

How do you edit your photos on Instagram?
I adjust the brightness, ambience and contrast in Snapseed before applying VSCO Cam's S2/HB1 filter. I also sharpen the image, if necessary, in VSCO Cam. For a step-by-step guide, click here.

How can I take a photo without any shadows?
I think shadows in photos can create a very different vibe, so embrace the shadows in your pictures! Anyhow, I always recommend to shoot in natural lighting (if possible). Ensure that the source of light is in front of you and not behind you.

How long does it take for you to create a stopmotion video?
As the time taken to create one would vary depending on the difficulty, on average it would take about 30 minutes to an hour.

How do you edit your stopmotion videos?
I record my stopmotion videos with iMotion HD, and Splice (to add on any background music or effects). Both apps are free on the AppStore.

Do you enjoy doing your stopmotion videos?
Yes, of course! It warms my heart when someone tells me how much they enjoy watching it. However, it is very time consuming so I hardly do them these days.

How do you edit your Youtube videos?
I edit my videos with Final Cut Pro.
