How I Set Up My iOS14 Homescreen

Hey everyone, it's definitely been awhile since we've been here, I hope you've all been well! This year's been a wild one, hasn't it?

As soon as I got my new iPhone, and with the iOS 14 upgrade I knew I wanted to try making an aesthetic home screen. After sharing it on Instagram, I receive a number of questions on what apps I use, where I get my icons from so hopefully this post will answer all those! :)

So if you're ready to say goodbye to the boring ol' home screen, let's start!

How I Edit My Instagram Photos

It's been a hot minute since I last did a post like this. I've been putting it off for the longest time because I've already done other similar posts (How I Edit My Instagram Photos, 3 Tips for Better Instagram Photos, How to Flatlay, 10 Must-Have Props) and I was worried I would be repeating too much of the information. As my editing style has changed quite a bit since the last time I shared, it was time for an updated tutorial!

Cëe's Kitchen: Nutella Pancakes

Happy Pancake Day! If you know me, you know that pancakes are one of my favourite food to have for breakfast because it's so easy to make. Now, I'm always up to try different variations of pancakes and this here is something I've never tried before (unbelievable, right?) There's 2 ways you can have these pancakes, either as nutella pancakes or nutella-stuffed pancakes. We all know the latter sounds so much better! The recipe for both are generally quite similar, except for some parts, but I'll try my best not to confuse you.

Triple Layer Biscoff Cake

Ending the year with one heck of a bake. What was originally supposed to be a double-layer 6" cake turned into a triple-layer cake on the spur of the moment, anyway a little more Biscoff wouldn’t hurt anybody, right?

3 Weekend Breakfast Ideas

Weekends are all about the little things like getting out of bed later than usual or enjoying your breakfast instead of rushing through it. As you guys know, I'm constantly trying new ways to make breakfast a lot more interesting - after all, it's the only reason why I get out of bed. In this post, I'll be featuring 3 types to breakfast that take less than 20 minutes to prepare.

How to Flatlay

You're probably here because you wish to master the flatlay photo, or maybe because you saw my Instagram post. Disclaimer: I'm not saying my photos are the best, I'm just sharing what I know and what I've learnt over the years of flatlaying. As I grow, I feel like my style has definitely evolved and I hope you guys still like what you're seeing because even though interaction in terms of likes have significantly decreased (but I'm still always replying comments & questions that you guys left), I still enjoy what I'm doing and will probably go on until I hate taking photos.

Storage Hack: Lightbox Letters

This post is for those of you who own lightboxes. You may have encountered difficulties in storing the letters that were given, like me. When I first got mine I had no idea how I was going to store them, and tying them into a bunch with a rubberband was definitely the worst thing anyone could do - how do you find the letters you need? So here's a quick tip/hack for those of you who have these letters laying around. This post is as OCD as I can get, sorting and organising just makes me so happy! ;)

The only thing you'll need: name/business card holders - preferably the long ones. Grab whatever colour you fancy!

Tip #1: Store them in alphabetical order
This is the most fun part for me, as I had to sing the alphabet song over and over again. I'm 22 and let's be honest, I don't really know what comes after J if I don't sing the song. Am I embarrassed to say this? Yes. Please tell me I'm not the only one

Tip #2: Don't squeeze too many into one pocket
Some alphabets, especially vowels, have more than 3 pieces and if you try to squeeze all of them into one pocket, what is likely going to happen is 1. the pocket may tear and 2. it will be difficult to take out. I did not purchase any additional characters so thankfully it all fits.

And, that's just about it! The next time you want to change up your lightbox, you can find the characters you need easily.

As usual, if you found this post helpful, I would appreciate if you could hit the 'like' button below as it gives me a good idea on what you guys would love to see more :) P/s: School's out which means I will be back to updating this space regularly just like it was before uni took over my life.

Cëe's Kitchen: Quick and Easy Breakfast Recipe

I have been obsessed with homemade parfait lately, especially after I got a mason jar for Christmas. I love how you can easily prepare this the night before and have it for breakfast the next morning before starting the day and conquering the endless to-dos. Recently I got some tart trays (I think that's what they are called), so I thought maybe I could try to do my parfait in one of these instead.

What you'll need:
- fresh fruits
- yoghurt (low fat/greek)
- maple syrup
- vanilla essence
- cinnamon sugar (optional)

For the base, I used two scoops of yoghurt and a few drops of vanilla essence (mmhm!) before topping it with my favourite fruits - I like raspberries, bananas and blueberries. Preparation usually takes less than 15 minutes. Once you're done, just refrigerate it overnight and enjoy it the next day. If you were to prepare yours in mason jars, they are perfect grab-and-go. You can now have delicious and healthy breakfast at your office desk!

Tip #1: If your yoghurt is not flavoured, you can always add a few drops of vanilla essence or maple syrup/honey.
Tip #2: If you intend to make a weeks worth at a go, do not add the fruits in yet. Try to serve them fresh if possible.

I hope you guys will give this recipe a try! Trust me, it tastes as good as it looks!
