MONTHLY FAVOURITES: OCTOBER

Wow, time sure flies! School is finally out until next year so that means I can actually dedicate more time to my social media platforms. Starting from this month onwards, at the end of every month I'll be sharing a few of my favourite items. The reason I decided to do this is because when I find something good, I feel the need to share them so others can enjoy the products too. Since it's my first time doing something like this, please give me some time to get a hang of it. Alright, enough talk, it's going to be a very lengthy post if I continue typing away.

1. Yankee candle $39.90
First up, candles! As you all know, I'm a sucker for scented candles (probably got it from my mum). Here's a reason why I love Yankee candles more than Diptyque: they have candles in every size possible and are also very affordable.

Tip: Burn the Mandarin Cranberry and Fresh Cut Roses at the same time to get a scent very similar (note: not exactly the same) to Diptyque's Baies. The latter definitely smells more luxurious, or it could be my mind playing tricks on me, but heck, if they smell similar that's all I care about. Try and let me know if you think so too!

2. Detergent for sponge and puff $2
The first time I stepped into Daiso, I knew that this would be my shopping heaven. In case you don't know what Daiso is because you don't have it in your country, then this favourite won't matter to you, it's a place where EVERYTHING is sold at $2. By everything I mean that you can get a plate for $2, or a tray or batteries. You get my point.

Some people associate the quality of a product with the price, which is true to a certain extent. But this detergent really does the job, VERY WELL. Here's a before and after photo of my sponge, soaked with makeup (eck).

3. YSL Parisienne $115 (from DFS)
I swore to only use Chanel's fragrances, and nothing else, but my friend told me that I was foolish. So I started to give other perfumes a try, e.g Lanvin's Marry Me (which is not too bad either). Anyway, I came across this YSL scent at Sephora the other day and instantly fell in love with it! I'm not very good with scent description, but what I can tell you is that it smells berry sweet, haha get it? What is your favourite type of perfume scent? Floral/Sweet/Fruity? Let me know!

4. Death in Paris clutch £81.00/$166.66
Last favourite for this month: The Veranda clutch from Death in Paris! It is my absolute favourite clutch, I simply love the aesthetics of this. When I saw the gold chain, I was completely sold. I've written about Death in Paris before, you may take a look at that post here.

Thank you for reading till the end, and putting up with some nasty edits (They were done in a hurry as my exams just ended yesterday). Next month, I'll be back with some items that I think would make perfect Christmas gifts, so you can start Christmas gift shopping early! Will try to include an item or two for males.

Disclaimer: Every amount is given in Singapore dollars. This is not a sponsored post, unless otherwise stated.

Stay gold, xx
